The investment fund industry in Mexico continues to show solid momentum. According to data from the Mexican Association of Securities Institutions (AMIB), as of September 2025, the assets managed by investment funds reached 4.841 trillion pesos, representing an annual growth of 17.97% and a monthly increase of 1.46%.

This performance consolidates investment funds as one of the most attractive alternatives for investors seeking to diversify their portfolios and mitigate risk in an increasingly sophisticated market environment.

An Expanding Ecosystem

Currently, there are 631 active investment funds in Mexico, managed by 29 authorized operators under the supervision of the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV).

Of these, 75% are invested in debt instruments, reflecting a clear preference for strategies that prioritize stability and consistent returns over the volatility of the stock market.

Among the leading fund managers are BBVA, with 1.176 trillion pesos in assets distributed across 57 funds, followed by BlackRock and Santander Asset Management —demonstrating the strong presence of well-established institutions in both institutional and retail investment management.
